Program Overview
Welcome to the Averroes School of Law, affiliated with the University of Peshawar and approved by the Pakistan Bar Council. ASL, named after the great jurist Averroes (Ibn Rushd), is committed to academic excellence, legal integrity, and the values of justice and inclusion.
Students may complete their 5-year LLB degree entirely in Pakistan or transfer credits to a UK institution. ASL offers real-world exposure, expert faculty, and a rich learning environment.

Additional Requirements & Opportunities
Internship Requirement: Ten (10) to Twelve (12) weeks internship after the completion of 8th semester is compulsory for every student. Internships can be with law firms, courts, companies, NGOs, legal departments, banks, stock exchanges, SECP, police stations, and other approved entities. Evaluation will be based on student’s report, self-assessment, faculty, and organization feedback.
Research Thesis: After the 9th semester, all students must take up a research project and submit a thesis on assigned legal topics.
Elective Course Choice: During the last two semesters (IX & X), students may select four elective courses (two per semester) from the available options offered by the University.
